Aida Arosoaie

About

Aida Arosoaie is an anthropologist whose work uses multi-situated mixed methodology—namely, archival research, oral history, ethnography, and art-making—to capture the interplay between resource extraction, racial capitalism, postcolonial agendas of justice, and regimes of aesthetics.

Aida is currently a PhD Candidate in Anthropology (with a Minor in Science and Technology Studies) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her doctoral research investigates the impact of colonial extraction on postcolonial ecologies in Malaysia.
